What can we say about LA that the Red Hot Chili Peppers haven’t; well quite a lot actually, cause “bing-a-bong-a-bong-a-bong-burbank, gigga-digga-bigga-gigga-glendale” doesn’t quite cover the greatness of the City of Angels. WE LOVE LA GOLDEN ALE

We were asked to brew a beer in our own style so after a long thought, we decided to bring back a different version of a beer we brewed before called LOTUS.

Some thought processes when we made the recipe for this beer:
👉 We wanted it to be a simple chuggable beer since the point is to sell quickly for fundraising. Sooner we sell, sooner people get support.
👉 But still it had to be something that only we can make as a sake/beer hybrid brewery.
👉 For us, using sake kasu has a meaning of “revival” as we are using byproduct of sake production to give birth to another product. We felt that it gave meaning to recovering from the fires.
👉 It also means “support.” We made this beer with traditional beer yeast and sake kasu which provides additional fermentation power with leftover sake yeast, nutrients/enzymes and aroma. Not only breweries, but suppliers for breweries are also contributing with donations to support this cause. In our case we got support from @thermalidtech for the labels.

Result is beer with 5% abv that initially tastes like a traditional malty golden ale, but sake kasu makes it extra dry and provides unique fruity aroma with a clean crisp finish.
